Supporting the development and adoption of open source in universities
The COSPA Project is a supporter and advocate of the use of open source software in public colleges and universities. We hope to aid in the creation and distribution of low cost or free applications, tools and services that can be used in an educational environment. We strive for software that is free of confining legal rules, regulations and licensing requirements.
Open source software is effective at reducing costs for businesses while increasing productivity. We want educational institutions and their students to be able experience the same benefits that businesses do by using open source applications.
Our hope is that some day every student will have access to quality software during their education that will not come with costly licensing fees.
