Becoming a COSPA Observer

 

Eligibility:

  • This should be either a Public Body (e.g. University, governmental agencies, local authorities, public administrations, etc.), or a commercial organisation operating in the ICT sector.

  • This ICT experience should include the development and usage of open source solutions with a proven record or commitment to implement and exploit OSS. Eligibility is not automatic. Authorisation from all the partners of the Consortium is required.

Cost:

  • There are no costs for becoming a COSPA observer.

Funding:

  • COSPA observers cannot receive financial assistance from the project or the commission.

Benefits:

  • Free access to all the internal documentation and deliverables, except those classified as Confidential.
  • Free access to project meetings.
  • Participation in COSPA's pilot projects for the introduction of Open Source Software in the Public Administration.

Reciprocal Support:

  • To give permit to the COSPA consortium to list your organisation as a COSPA observer in dissemination events.
  • To promote public awareness about the activities of COSPA and other OSS activities.
  • To share your own knowledge and experiences about transition to Open Source, whenever possible.
